Article 20 of the Treaty regarding the friendship, good neighborhood and co-operation relations between Romania and Yugoslavia

The Parties consider that the Romanian national minority from Yugoslavia and the Serb national minority from Romania are strong and lasting links for the co-operation and trust between these two neighboring countries. They will assure, on their national territory, the protection and the respect for the rights of the members of Serb national minority from Romania and of the members of the Romanian national minority from Yugoslavia, according to the documents of the C.S.C.E.,to the international agreements ratified by the contracting Parts and generally accepted standards of the international law.

The Parties commit themselves to apply the international standards regarding the protection of the ethnic, cultural, linguistic and religious identity of the persons who belong to the national minorities and to undertake no activities which do not comply with this treaty.
